Project Description
Since it is a website based organisation/charity it needs to be highly interactive in terms of the users getting information from it and also contributing. Utilising features such s PayPal and Wordpress plugins have been discussed with the Dr David Roberts (the client).
Other social features will likely be integrated such as Facebook API's Twitter API's and similar services such as reddit and Digg.
Other things discussed with David suggest that he is open to any promotional material. He wants to use images relating to the organisations mission statement. So in this case it would subjects such as healthcare, sanitation, government, food, electricity, jobs and shelter.
He wants an image illustrating this on the main page or somewhere visible on
the website.
I propose on top of this website and logo that letterheads, business cards, t-shirts and posters be produced also to make people aware of the brand/organisation.
Project Background
This was originally a minor design project in one of the briefs for a previous module and was used as a means to provide concepts for the Popular Peace brand.
The organisation itself is about conducting research into post conflict countries to establish which should take the highest priorities in the rebuilding of the country's services such as water supply, government and others. It is a case by case basis.
The research will mainly be posted/conducted through a website (domain purchased as popularpeace.org). Videos will be posted through the website also so a blogging system may be used so they can be uploaded remotely from phone and notebooks from researchers in these countries.
At the moment there is a logo designed by another student that the client likes. It will need alterations or even re-designed before other branding can begin.
Research
Other areas of research could be volunteer sites as that is one of the ideas that David has for the organisation. To see how they are designed would provide an idea of current trends.
Since it is first and foremost a brand identity and marketing campaign I will need to research a lot of brands and website designs for charities. Propanda, posters and marketing tactics will also need to be researched so it can reverberate in the products such as promotional video and posters/flyers.
Aims & Objectives
One of the aims of this project are to produce an effective brand and website which will benefit the organisation in its future endeavours.
Personally I would like to be able to improve my negotiation skills with clients better and therefore produce better results in the development stages of the project and final product itself.

Items that will need to be designed for this brand are:
- Dynamic Website
- Posters
- Flyers/Leaflets
- T-Shirts (Possible, would be useful for volunteers)
- Business Cards
